A Passion for Bridging Academia and Industry

I’m a Ph.D. student at the University of Colorado Boulder, specializing in Language and Social Interaction (LSI). My research delves into power asymmetries in everyday and institutional interactions, particularly around race and racism, using Ethnomethodology Conversational Analysis (EMCA) and Critical Race Discourse Analysis. I’m passionate about making academic scholarship accessible to broader audiences, bridging the gap between academia and public understanding. In both my research and teaching, I strive to decolonize traditional narratives, promote equity, and foster critical engagement. As a non-traditional student who works full-time while pursuing a full-time Ph.D., my commitment to education and translating academic insights into industry practices is a core part of my journey, reflecting my dedication to making meaningful impacts in both academia and the professional sphere.
